Absolutely fabulous! Blah blah blah ..

I am really not sure if there is even enough room to walk through the door? Too tight in my opinion, that vase would be knocked down pretty soon :)

Not the kind of artwork I would put in my own home.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah? Blah blah.

In a word - contrived. When is someone going to hang art that isn't words/quotes/some twaddle about dreams? Unoriginal. Over it.

I think I like it- love the chair and the chandy...think I maybe like the art but can't totally commit- I think it's the colour that throws me off a bit- hate burgandy.

someone paid for this?

I think the print is a little overwhelming for the space but I don't hate it.

Bleh! This makes me irritated just looking at the "art"work. It's oversized for the space and with all of the thought provoking, interesting and beautiful art out there why blah? I like the rest of the space...

Art for people who'd rather not think too much.

I like the wallpaper. The chair looks spraypainted (even though it probably isn't. The rest of it is pretty BLAH.

I am so over any kind of sign with words on it. The subway stops, the feel good inspirational crap. I want to gag when I see them. But this tongue in cheek little piece of whimsy makes me chuckle.

This needs to be in a SALON!

Well haha, it did make me laugh. But the big, ugly part is a turn off.

I take it the blahblahblah is an I'm Bored With response to whatever is depicted in red/black below the text, so what are those photos below the surface that we can't quite make out, politicians? showbiz celebs? faces from a hairdo magazine? dead people? European royalty? I'd like to give the piece a chance but I can't quite see it, so please remove the chair and the tiny table to another room and leave them there so I can see what this artist is pissed off about.

nanne said...

i like the chair. they need to return their framed poster to hobby lobby.

I don't know. I like the piece itself but I might feel like I'm being shouted at walking past it through that small gap. In fact, the more I look at it, the more I shy away from walking past it. Too loud for a small space. In a roomy warehouse though would love it.

The art is killing it. And not in a good way but in a mudery sorta way.

Is it totally retarded that I'm totally distracted by the wallpaper? I love it with that chair! All the blahing I could do without, however...

BelgianWaffle said...

Yes to the chair, no to its location. That looks like a corner specially designed for tripping over furniture legs. Words on walls belong in the same decor category as Shabby Chic and anything by Cath Kidson Orla Kiely.

Ha Ha... LOVE it :)

Blahblahblahblah...

(Not so much loving the rest of this scene, though...)

I think I'd like the poster on a much, much, much smaller scale. It could be a funny addition to other artwork in a room. I read it as a funny comeback to all the "keep calm and carry on"-type posters.

That has to be a Mel Bochner, and if it's original and not a print it's probably an $80,000 painting. He has other, better stuff; I think you might particularly appreciate "Kvetch Kvetch Kvetch."
