Cry me a river. In Canada it's priced at more than $1,600 despite the strength of our dollar and the supposed free trade agreement.

Hi Raina, just stopped by to catch up on your posts!

Always lots of fun to read!

Re; shelter mags vs on-line....decorator vs designer:

It's really about being good at what you do and giving the client/reader what they ask for.

The price is justified - I can tell you that this is many many hours of manual work.

OK, me thinks this would be a perfect DIY project for those with the chops to pull it off (and that is probably not me with my "project A.D.D."...) Start with an Ikea Lack table, some Mod Podge, wall paper or wrapping paper, a paint pen and some clear coat sealer, then find the tutorial online! Even hiring out the DIY would make it cheaper...

Yeah, @Petra Voegtle is 100% right about the many many hours of manual work involved in making this gorgeous table.

margot - Hello and welcome!

Cathy - I know just the person to do it - Bri of Me, You & a Wiener. She's AMAZING at the hacks.

how do you type a grunty-groan noise? because that is my response. put some frosting on that little guy and i think i could eat it like a cupcake.

I swear the word "inlaid" is code for "even though small hands made this in a far away country probably without AC, it's still expensive as hell because we said so". There's no explanation!
