My new coffee table

After nearly five years, I will soon have a coffee table. My overprotective husband banned extraneous corners upon the arrival of our daughter. Now that we have to worry more about a table's safety than The Pea's, it is time to re-enter the grown-up decorating world.

BluDot's square Strut coffee table in Olive will soon be arriving and I can implement Phase Two (the purchasing) of our family room redecorating plan. The Strut table (in this color only) has been marked down from $449 to $229 and shipping was less than $12!

Oh wow,

Congrats on the score! I love the BluDot table line and have coveted the larger, hot pink version of this table ever since I can't even remember when.
Enjoy it in good health ;)

Bargain!!! Ahh yes the grown up decorating world.... does one ever get to enter that with children living at home? Mine are teens and I still need to be careful!

Awesome!

Now all you have to do is cover itinerary batting and Chiangmai Mai Dragon fabric and it'll be perfect. ;)

Its handsome and clean, and square, which I really like. Welcome back to having things with corners!

Tres chic! And the perfect height for tea parties with dolls and stuffed animals...

Of course, you and your impeccable taste settle on the Strut table. I am hankering for the console table in watermelon right now.

Alcira and Eileen - I've wanted the Watermelon color for ages too, but I have an Yves Klein blue bench that will the "pop of color" in the room.

Jeannine - *snort*

Robin - I will be fitting Pea with a shock collar.

Love it, amazing deal. Yay for shock collars.

Keep the pea 3feets away! I let mine have juice one time on my burlwood table only to discover it drenched in juice and now sporting a watermark stain! He's no longer allowed to touch it or look at it.

Lovely choice! I concur with Bri, having recently had a similar experience. I randomly shout out "COASTER!" as if I were wandering the streets of New York suffering from some rare design disorder or extreme fear of theme parks. If small children and fine furniture were meant to co-exist, there would be no IKEA.

O, jay! Welcome to the world of tables with hard edges...:-))
I don't blame your husband for being careful, I still have a scar in the middle of my forehead due to some experimental tummy-circling on a mid -century coffee table when I was three- though I do think this was contest-related ( always was a competitive brat)! So keep the Pea well away!!

oh lucky you. I have been waiting 8 years for my coffee table ban to be lifted.

It's fab! Can't wait to see the rest of the room. BTW, totally understand about the kiddos and decorating around them when they were little. M.
