More Missoni for Target revealed, including THE BICYCLE

 Trays (ceramic, not melamine!).

In Vogue's August issue, we get a sneak peek at the home collection part of Missoni's upcoming collabo with Target. Granddaughter of the the legendary Italian fashion house's founder, Margherita Missoni is photographed with the goods at her flat in the Brera district of northern Milan. The article is a little vague as to which items are hers and which are Target's, maybe purposefully so.

Margherita in a Target ensemble. I'm guessing the lounge cushions are Target
as well as the iPad cover, the drinking glass, and the vase.

Her living room. I think the Target items are the sofa pillows, the throw
on the green chair, and - please God please! - the purple ottoman.

Let's check out that luscious pouf!

 And those pillows.

The canister and vase are identified as Target. The lidded piece will retail for $20.

The rugs are Target and feast your eyeballs on that insane bike!
With TURQUOISE wheels.

The 400-piece Missoni for Target collection will debut in stores mid-September. More fashion sneak peeks here.

So what think you, Dumplings? HOT or NOT?

Absolutely hot.

Her heart-shaped Venetian mirror is drool-worthy. I'll pass on the rugs, love the poof...

How many times has privileged young Margherita's homes been featured on Vogue?

And that outdoors shot *THUD*

And let's not forget that BIKE *is fainting*

Thanks for pointing us to these pretties, Raina.

MEH. Too busy staring at that malachite covered column. The bike is cool too.

Squash the Snark!

Then Shop.

Guarantee this will sell out PDQ, like their Liberty of London line.

Cart is full.

I'm a huge fan, but don't you feel like we're on the tail end of chevron interior details? Are there are actual chunky knit pillows? It all looks gorgeous. Will have to see and feel in person. I do love the rugs.

I'm all about the bike. It'd look good with my houzz.

Marzz - A hundredrity times.

Juliet - Missoni has been doing zigzag designs since the Sixties, so it's more like we're catching up to them. They built their fashion empire on their fabled knits, so I would expect to see at least a few knitted home items. Whether or not those particular pillows are Target or their much more expensive eponymous home line, I'm not sure.

And though I know the chevron decorating meme is nearly at its end, I'll always love it.

I think I may be redecorating a few rooms based solely on those rugs... And if I didn't already have a perfectly good and practically new bike, I would buy that one just so I could ride around town with things in the basket and look all cute with my crazy stripey paint job. Maybe I will just hit up my bike with some electrical tape chevrons!

I've been so looking forward to this collection yet worried that it would be a poor substitute for Missoni. From the sneak peaks I've seen so far- it should be fab!

Looks promising but I hope the quality lives up to the concept. There have been disappointments at these mass collabos in the past....

it's all fabulous!! love, love the bike....but, is it going to be like the elusive liberty of london bike that no one acutally had a chance to buy? if i had it, i would just park in my living room (instead of parking my ass on it) and consider it art or maybe a bar cart.

Yummy. Loving the bike. Obviously the malachite post is not for sale, but I still lust after it. As was said before, I hope the stuff is decent quality. I am excited there are actual ceramic trays and not just melamine. Yeah, can't wait for September!

Bri and My Interior Life - That's a Fornasetti wallpaper available through Cole & Son. You too can malachite your walls!

HOT!

Why do I live in Australia again?

Nick Klaus said...

@Alexis L, if the platters are ceramic and not melamine, I'd say it's a pretty good sign that the quality of the whole collection will be good.
I really hope there will be more than 500 of the bikes, but I have a feeling it's going to be just like the Liberty of London collection.
I'm probably going to have to go to the least classy of the 3 targets near me to have any hope of getting a piece or two.

Why can't the rugs be available, too???

HOT! Love the trays and the overall color palette. I think it's time to call in a HUGE favor from my bff's hubby who is a manager at a nearby Target ;)

I don't want to get my hopes up, but I think it's too late. I will be there early when it launches to check it out, in case it is awesome. And if it's not, I will wander down the wine aisle, filling my basket with liquid consolation.

Kim@Chattafabulous said...

Add me to the hawt column. Good strategy, Nick. I might try one of the more po-dunk Targets myself!

Whoa, that two-wheeler's even hotter than the floral Liberty bike that got away.
That said, the real show stopper here is the totally un-tarjay-related malachite wallpaper decking out the pillar ;)
Cheers, Alcira

Dear Raina,
I honestly don't understand all the hype about these patterns. They are nothing new. Having grown up with the hippy era myself I just see that you should not throw away anything at all - it comes back for sure. I only regret deeply that today's consumerism does not go well with the sound and feeling of the 60's. Today everything is only superficial and a fake.
Sorry to spoil the enthusiasm but this makes me simply sad and also angry because there is no substance any more...

I like the girl, and I like zigzags, but not so hot about this whole combo. Maybe a piece here or there, in the cooler colours. The bike is super fab, pure eye candy. Still, wouldn't ride it! :)

Ohhhhh, what was that other collab that had a bike, and I was like, whatevs, I don't need a bike. But this bike, HELLO MISSONI, makes me want to get brave (re: urban biking) and GET ONE, swoon swoon!

I am so happy I'll be a WAHM come September so I can go to target in the morning before everyone else!
