Oh its a fab space ♥

i like it. and i have a feeling that it's far prettier in person than in the photo.

While I love large and light rooms such as this one I am missing a "concept" here. It appears to me like a random smorgasbord of furniture, objects and art which do not have any further correlation, nor a theme. For me this is a sad waste of space and possibilities.

Who invited the Maltese and the Blob to the party?!

BTW, love the chaise by the window, and what looks to be a bart cart in the corner. (That bar cart will come in handy if you have to ride the maltese during your visit). M.

Take out the velour furniture and I could live with this space...with velours, I mean the unsavoury beige round blobby armchairs and the white velours / wood daybed in the foreground.

Raina, thank you by the way for your kind comments on my latest blogpost..

It would be a great room if they could get that yak out of the middle of it. It has a Vincent Wolf vibe - it just needs the high backed linen sofa.

I don't get it. I can't get past the daybed that looks like a shaggy dog.

trying too hard, yet not hard enough.

Dog's breakfast, sorry.
Of course, my place is, too, right now, but I'm in transition. At least that's what I tell myself.

Planet of the Apes, where everything is biomorphic and beige. Who knew apes hate geometry? They do rock leather suits, tho.

I heart most all of it but the three dudes staring over the bed...creepy.

The goat fur daybed has me terribly distracted....I am not sure I would want to sit on it. Otherwise there are some amazing pieces in this room and it has an eclectic appeal.

Who let the dinosaur poop in the house?

Seriously - that brown blob to the left looks like a huge turd. I can't even see the rest of the room because I just see the turd.

It's a beautiful space, I wish they didn't furnish it all with garage sale finds and hand me down furniture. That furry thing in the middle...they couldn't possibly have bought that.

Fail.

I like the space, the furniture seems like an odd assortment, oddly arranged. And the daybed bothers me, it's too much like westhighland white terrier fur.

I do like the "space" but dislike most of the furnishings. To have so many different lighting elements throws it off even more. The artwork and TV on the same wall is just dangerous. Do love the daybed however.

The fur covered pieces are throwing me a bit, though the space could certainly be easily redeemed.
Placement of objects is odd, I find, as is the lighting.
Sort of feels like that chandelier may take a tumble at any minute.
Cheers, Alcira

i'm fixated on the big, black thing in the room....is it a primitive toilet? a shrunken hot tub? a midcentury modern take on a well? pretified dinasaur poop? i'm voting for an extra large, automatic cat waterer...

the room itself is great. too bad rooms to go set up shop there.

Love the bones of the room and the windows- the decor confirms that just because you have a lot of money, doesn't mean you have any taste.

The fuzzy day bed and black rock together wreck it for me. However, love the iron daybed by the window and the curved rattan chair on the right side corner!

It all could have gone quite right.
But, in the end, didn't.

I do want those floors, though.

Lausi said...

Excuse me, but is there a concept to this room?

Nope...sorry, but no. I don't get any vipes from this room at all. It looks cluttered together without much love (if any at all)

Whatever it was that they thought when they "created" this room ...I don't get it *scratches scalp*

Nope.
