Ooops I thought they were suction cups on the chair feet not lamps! Obviously I am not arty enough for this sort of design. And living in the UK, I would never paint anything grey- the natural light does that here!
I took another look and it definitely looks like an attempted apparatus that my husband and thought up whilst following one of those books for " trying to conceive a girl"
we had a boy.
