FOUND - Jenna Lyons' new house

The American Express Carriage House.

Details of the sale of Jenna Lyons' legendary Brooklyn townhouse hit the web yesterday, and it seems J.Crew's Executive Creative Director did quite well for herself. She and her soon-to-be-ex husband bought the place in 2004 for $1.3 million and sold it in December for $4 million, 7% over the asking price. The deed for the Park Slope property lists Lyons' new address (it's not the one I'd been touting) - a duplex in Tribeca's landmark American Express Carriage House.

Built in 1866, the building originally housed the stables of the American Express company. In the 1980s, the carriage house was home to the infamous nightclub Area. The building now holds 15 units, including a 9,000-square-foot triplex with its own swimming pool known as The Marble House currently available for $20 million.

Let's cross fingers, toes and the rest of our bits that Lyons' decorator gets to work post haste. This place must be shelter published tout de suite so that we all may bathe in its splendor:

Which shelter mag will get exclusive pics of the new digs: Elle Decor, AD, or maybe even Vogue? You're a real estate stalker genius, btw.

OMG... what a beautiful, beautiful place this is *squee spasms*

Would love to get a house tour once it's been furnished *le sigh*

I see lots of potential. I think the home tour should be a Lampshade exclusive!

Love the raw textural elements! So glad to have you back - just went through some of your previous posts - don't know why it wasn't showing up in my reader?! Cheers!

I hope the outside world gets a peek when it's done. Oddly, as it stands now, it could be any downtown JCrew storefront!...k

Marzz - If I had to guess, probably Vogue. Lyons craves Anna Wintour's validation.

maison21 - I never use "LOL," but LOL.

sanctuaryhome - In my dreams!

Kim - I've been on blog holiday for awhile. So glad to see you back commenting!

Kathy - Excellent assessment.

liza - Why do I think there's a story after that ellipsis?

Very modern, although I do not like the ceiling beams.
