An Eames classic gets a makeover

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ray Eames' birth, manufacturer Herman Miller is adding color to the designer's iconic Wire Base Low Table. On October 1st, the versatile small table will be released in "cobalt blue, red-orange and a golden yellow, the same colors used on the exterior panels of the Eames House, the Pacific Palisades landmark also known as Case Study House No. 8." The limited edition tables will sell for $294.
