This is named after M.Proust's courtesan Odette de Crécy, who was the obsession of poor M.Swann?
She was actually something of a demimonde---much like the chair.
Or, peut etre, as Odette would say, it is named after this Odette (http://www.odetteharlow.com/) from which comes this quote, which somehow also makes me think of a chair...

Was starting to think Anthro couldn't get any worse...then this.
It's different, have to agree that without the top part it wouldn't be bad - the top part might be good for tying balloons to and having it as say the birthday chair. I'm trying here! I think if it came in a fun neon colour then it might be fun to have if you lived in Miami and had a crazy cool pool.

I really don't understand what the designer thought - without the misproportioned top it would have been beautiful...

Very disappointing.Not sure if the world needed another rubbish chair.
Ice cream parlor chair on drugs.... the top part is a hallucination.
