Interior design quote of the day

Drake's former apartment in the Flatiron District, NYC.

Designer Jamie Drake was asked why he recently chose to move from his home of more than ten years.

“The apartment appeared in so many magazines, I got tired of looking at it!” Drake says with a laugh.

Loving the mustard and royal blue accented with fuschia! I can't wait till our master bedroom remodel is done & ready for paint and decorating! Till then, I continue to gaze at exposed electrical and bare studs..and stay inspired by pics like this!

Blimey, what a quote. Hopefully said with a tongue-bulged cheek. Personally I think a puce and vertical-line-induced psychosis would have urged me to move.

Always see it on TV Or read it in the magazines. Celebrities want sympathy. All they do is piss and moan. Inside the Rolling Stone talking about how hard life can be. Lifestyles of the rich and the famous. They're always complaining, Always complaining. If money is such a problem, well they got mansions. Think we should rob them.

Admit I was a tad disappointed with the AD spread. Drake's client work is usually superior so I expected something even better in his own space. Easy for me to criticize living in my more shabby than chic 1-bedroom rental.
