Bizarre or brilliant?

 Anthropologie's Ophira tablescape, $698.

Ophira unleashed.

I thought it was for flowers. Pulling apart to serve food is kinda Tupperware party-ish. Maybe just leave it as a cool sculptural piece.

Seeing it covered in crackers kind of ruins it for me. Plus can you imagine trying to clean vegetable dip and hummus out of all those crevices? Nightmare.

It's DEFINITELY not my taste- but I love the concept, and wish they would make something similar that wasn't hideous.
MIXED FEELINGS, my bane.

It looks like a fountain. I don't think I could manage to fill all those little crevices with tasty bits. I prefer a couple hunks of cheese on a wooden board.

Mallory High - I'm with you. I'm much more caveman in my tablescape presentations. ;)

Party transformers. I think I like it better as just a sculpture...thing.

False dilemma! It's brilliant AND bizarre. And it makes for an excellent distraction if the food's only so-so.

It's a Victorian epergne for the modern era! And just as awkward and ugly as the originals.

I like that it's both bizarre and brilliant. But I will use it for decorative purposes only!
