Our first mountain snow

This morning, we woke to our first mountain snow.

Normally, there are glimpses of the mountains through these trees.

We were told deer bed down under our house in cold weather. Low and behold, when I opened the door to the master bedroom deck to enjoy the snowfall, these gorgeous creatures came shooting out from under a lower deck. I apologized to them for the early wake-up call.

And a big THANK YOU to Nancy Powell for inviting me to share
some of my favorite pieces of art!

OMGoodness! It is nearly 80 at my house today and I am thankful that I am here not there although it looks lovely from my air-conditioning.

Wow! Gorgeous snow! We've had hurricane-force winds lately that knocked out power, caused all the ferries to be cancelled and brought trees down. You know it's windy when the double-decker bus you're riding on starts rockin' and rollin'!

I think I prefer snow.

That snow makes me sick to my stomach.

I love you Pea's artwork. You could sell that shit on etsy. It would be her contribution to the renovation.

Just looking at the snow is making me want a cup of coco. I hope it melts soon. There is plenty of time for that later.

When can we see what you're doing with the inside?! Would love to see the transformation...

Lea - I'll be showing off the living room in a couple of weeks. I'm still waiting on the sofa to be delivered. Dang lead times!

Love the pics of the deer! I'm heading to Denver next weekend -- and hoping there will be no snow! :)
Love the art that you shared btw -- the pea is the bomb!

I thought I was the only one to apologise for that sort of stuff. The deer will be happy and safe with you.

It was 90 here in Kansas before Mother Nature cooled it down with a few tornadoes (not here). CRAZY stuff! Love the look of snow. Hate driving in it. I think the Pea is going to have lots of subjects for her paintings. Do hope you are not a devoted gardener. It's hard when you are providing the Deer Buffett.

home before dark - Ha! I'm no gardener. I have a neighbor with beautiful landscaping. I need to pick her brain as to what the deer will avoid.

Thank you for letting the deer stay!!

As pretty as it is, it makes me a little sad - it was a LOOOOOOOOOONg winter here & my apartment wasn't up to scratch in keeping me toasty warm. But at least the snow there means sun here - so that brightens my day!!

Beautiful. I embrace all seasons....but secretly love that blanket of white. Most people detest it.
