Life is too short to live ugly.
Love that quote. I never want to think of him the way he looks in this apartment! ugh.xo Nancy
I keep waiting for the "Money for Nothing" cartoon guys to pop out of that bookcase.
have to love a man that lives by his words........
When Memphis reigned, I liked certain pieces but then again, I also liked a lot of things *during* the '80s because I lived with them. In retrospect--good lord! What the hell were we doing wearing those clothes and listening to such inane music? With that said, I'm really trying to think more broadly than Lagerfeld--even if I happen to agree with him for the most part. After all, isn't a disdainful or derisive reaction to Postmodernism similar to the way that many people during the '50s and '60s reacted to Modernism? (And now who's kicking "good" MCM design out of their house? Not me!)I deal in vintage clothing. Some dealers who love older vintage have trouble with '80s and '90s vintage. I don't sell much of it myself, but I certainly don't share the idea that it's somehow all really bad or unacceptable even if I can't totally get my mind around high waisted jeans worn with loose batwing sleeved acrylic sweaters. What a marvelous photo and a provocative quote.
This is awesome. Just look at him totally owning that Bedrock throw. I'd love to know the identity of the light fixture casting that heavenly glow from above.
Love that quote! It's quite true if you think about it.
