Where are you headed?

LB just let me know we're traveling to Washington, D.C. during the Cherry Blossom Festival. YAY!! He'll be attending to business-y stuff, and the Pea and I will be exploring the city. I've ordered this book and this book to plan it all out. Dumplings, where are you headed to this spring?

That will be such a lovely trip. We're staying home, I have a garden renovation happening which will involve all of our time and money.
If I was planning something Washington DC would be top of the list.

Yay for you, we will surely have better weather by then.
The very best place to eat on the mall (Smithsonian museums) is the in the National Museum of the Amercan Indian http://nmai.si.edu/visit/washington/mitsitam-cafe/
The National Building Museum is magic because it has a beautiful big atrium with naturally occuring updrafts: they sell paper airplanes in the gift shop and big and little people love to sail their planes up to the higher stories.

I love a cherry blossom. Am off to korea and if blossoms are out I might make a detour to Japan or a town in korea that have it but so hard to predict!

I love cherry blossoms! How lucky are you? They always make think of the line in The Last Samurai when he says something like, "you can spend your whole life looking for the perfect cherry blossom and it would not be a wasted life." No spring trips for us, just headed out west past your home in the rocky hills and yonder to Utah(Arches & Zion), LA, then Yosemite. Gonna get my nature on! We'll see how well it fits me.
