Johnny Depp is selling his private village

With the $350 million dollars he earned from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, scarf aficionado Johnny Depp bought his own French village and turned it into a private oh-la-la theme park. And it can now be yours for around $26 million!

Purchased in 2001 with then partner Vanessa Paradis, the hamlet outside of Plan de la Tour features more than a dozen buildings sprawled over roughly 37 acres. Built in the late 1800s, the property includes a 4300-sq-ft house, a restaurant which served as Depp's dining room, a church converted to a guest house (the confessional is now a wardrobe, see above), two swimming pools, a skate park with halfpipe built for his son, and a Roma wagon kitted out with a bathroom and kitchen. And presumably scarves.

The actor personally decorated it all himself, including a Pirates-themed wine cave festooned with skulls, antiques, and - wait for it - SCARVES.

In a rare celebrity move, many of the actor's personal effects are included in the sale. That means you get not only the property but also Depp's furniture, books, DVDs (!!!), and art.

And scarves.

Oh sweet Jesus, that is ghastly! I believe Marie Antoinette built a village to play in too.

I'm so enamored with Johnny Depp that I think all of this looks fabulous. Clearly, I have a problem.

I do love real estate, just not this real estate. The pool area is ok. The rest is just silly.

I wonder if it had anything to do with the breakup.
