Life is too short to live ugly.
No! No! and No!As a designer who lives in a beach town, I have to say that a little bit of the nautical theme goes a long way. Like maybe one or two items. The life preservers would work better in a pool cabana where they would be functional as intended.
It's a pet peeve of mine ---- theme overkill.
Useful if you want help talking to someone boring at a party to signal help. Other than that- no.
Yes, total overkill. Raina, on an unrelated topic, I saw this browsing today. It's an old WASP homw with a second wife into "worldly artisan art". It's been in the family since it was built in the 20's. It's a fabulous old house that just makes me smile.http://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/80-Mountain-Spring-Rd_Farmington_CT_06032_M48842-54867?row=8
Don Richards - WOW. That is beyond lovely, even with all of the "artisan" stuff. I bet she wears a lot of Donna Karan and Eileen Fisher.
Only on the Titanic
Wait--I grew upon Farmington! I know that house!! Bahaha
sadly........someone think they are oh so clever
If you have to have them, what about half the size?
Rescue Me! And the house that's linked? Not to dissimilar from this one:http://www.pigtown-design.blogspot.com/2015/02/ill-take-this-classic-english-in.html
