Thought of the day

Via Pinterest.

I wish Lilly Pulitzer would return to its former glory. Today's prints look like they're done by a drunken monkey let loose with neon fingerpaints.

Oh Dear God!

I guess this would happen some day! I know the girl (and she was a girl) on the left.....and maybe the one on the right!

I adored Lilly! and I adored her fabrics; they were the closest thing to Fortuny that will ever happen!

I was there in Palm Beach visiting my best friend..

and the new things are hopelessly terrible.!!

A voice from the past....and telling it like it is!!

We looked fantastic! (I was the first to take it back to California!)

(Please don't tell me I didn't!; I did not wear the headscarves)

I looked great...had the sandals..(not in the pic) and loved it all! Lilly was a woman way before her time that every woman alive would admire! (Just my opinion!!)

I will identify the girls.... tomorrow. I think I know both....but have to check my memory !!

XXOO fantastick lilly ost!

Lilly would not approve, That is what happens. No way. Lilly was an immense talent; and cared about the details....

I wouldn't buy anything now. It isn't the same thing at all. boo hoo.

Couple of things...

1] They need to make their dresses a bit longer. At their current length, they are not appropriate for many business settings. If they were longer, you could wear a shrug or a sweater, but as short as the dresses are, you could barely sit down without making a splash.

2] They need to make their things in sizes that real women wear. Sad to say, not everyone is a size 4.

3] The Target collaboration did them way more harm than good. It was a complete and total disaster.
